The 2008 Nordic Welding Expo gathered over 6000 professionals of the metal industry to Tampere

The 2008 Nordic Welding Expo organized in Tampere Exhibition and Sports Centre on November 5th to 7th 2008 was the largest trade fair in Scandinavia oganized for professionals of the welding industry.

The trade fair was very successful as 6055 professionals of welding, joining, thermal spraying and cutting visited the trade fair. The amount of visitors increased by over 500 from the first exhibition organized in 2006. There were 104 exhibitors and over 3422 square meters at the trade fair.

The next Nordic Welding Expo will be organized in November 10th–12th 2010 in Tampere.

The Welding Society of Finland represents expertise in the field of welding and advances the knowledge of the development of welding technique in Finland. The society has operated since 1949 and its activity has steady traditions. Along with the progress of the technique the activity of the society has enlarged and became more diverse. The society has a very important role in the European and international education and qualification of the welding personnel. The intent of the society is to connect the people working in the welding industry. The trade fair offers the best possible forum for this purpose.
